We have to combat against air toxins, water pollution, and now the healthy foods are tainted and colored. So put your armour on and stand firm to a new way of living. Healthy living is not as easy and now it is even harder. We have to fight for it and the rewards are tremendous! Fight for the following rewards: Decrease your chances of diabetes, certain cancers, obesity, alzheimer and more. Let me know if you are ready to fight for a sound mind, strong body and long life.

Sturdy yourself in your boots of steel to steady your gait (speed walk or run) for fitness which aids in healthy metabolism of the foods eaten. For without good muscle tone that perfectly healthy meal nourishes a sluggish weak body.

Protect your heart with a ruggged chest plate. The heart and lungs continuously work for us and need a great deal of energy easily found in fresh fruits and veggies. Beat strong and breathe well knowing you have provided your body with ample supply of vitamins and nutrients through fresh or frozen whole fruits and or veggies. The bones of the rib cage require calcium. Just three cups of milk a day and sunlight allows our bones to be strong and sturdy.

Put your helmet on and frame your mind with the marvelous thoughts like "yes ... I can do it. I can live healthier. I can become more active". Not last and not least ... sacrifice and omit meat from the new way of living. Instead eat plenty of beans.

Why Meat Free Days? asked Kamarr Brown (the great athlete in my office of small cubicles).

Good question. Well beef is very hard to digest in the body i.e. if you must eat beef once every thirty days is a maximum amount in my opinion. Beef and digestion ... should read as ... Beef and decaying in the body. Beef actually is one of the culprits for Colon Cancer. Beef remains in the colon and blocks and clogs ... not a good thing. We fight colon cancer now by eating lots of fiber (found in beans, fruits and veggies) and staying active everyday.

Pork has tiny microscopic worms in the meat which may pass into our blood stream and continue to live ... causing the disease trichinosis. Note: that these tiny worms may NOT die with fryng, baking, boiling, steaming, ... tough little rascals. Eat Beans instead.

Multiple types of poultry (chicken, turkey, etc) are grown with steroids, pesticides in their food, and or the meat may be chemically colored. Eat Beans instead.

Unfortunatley, fish may have high levels of mercury. Beans are pure. Beans are easily rinsed clean. Beans when combined with a vegetable is a complete meal. Buy beans and stop eating meat ... a great way to save money and become more healthier. Eat Beans instead.

Meat Free Days! Not for the weak and double minded .... this is truly a test for the Warriors!
Start with omitting one poor habit (such as smoking, junk foods, too much alcohol) at a time and for thirty days stick with it. The thirty day challenge is a great way to break a habit and form a new way of living.

Last but not least ... One Meal A day adds many benefits to healing and longevity. Sounds crazy well ... first if you are not medically stable you should have your primary physician approve your meals and activities in order to prevent any adverse happenings to you.

One Meal a Day and Meat Free Days can be a tough recommendation but I am talking to the Warriors with a cause to live with a sound mind, strong body and a long life.

Dr. Ethel Maria Wright
